Talks Over Tea Therapy
Clarity & Relief for Deep Thinkers,
Over-analyzers and Highly Perceptive People
Available in-person in Tacoma and online in Washington and Florida

You Think Deeply. You Feel Intensely.
You Process Everything.
You’re not someone who skims the surface—you analyze, reflect, and see the layers in everything. Maybe you’ve always been the one who notices what others miss, questions what others accept, and carries more than your fair share of responsibility.

At some point, though, the way you move through the world—your sharp mind, your deep emotional attunement, your ability to hold so much—started to feel more like a weight than a strength.
Hi, I'm Tanya,
I’ve always been drawn to people who think deeply, who notice what others overlook, who feel like they’re too much for most people. Maybe because I’ve been that person, too. I know what it’s like to carry so much inside—to overthink, over-feel, overanalyze—until it starts to feel like a weight.

But I’ve learned that the work isn’t about becoming less. It’s about finding ease in who you already are. It’s about shifting from feeling like too much to realizing your depth is a skill, a gift, an art. And the more you step into that, the more everything starts to make sense.

And when it does, something lifts. You breathe lighter air. You stop fighting yourself, and instead, you feel more you than you ever have before. More clear, more at ease, more alive.

That’s why I do this work.

Therapy With Me Is
✔ Engaged & Interactive – I don’t just sit back and nod. I’m fully present, helping you untangle the complexity in a way that actually makes sense.
✔ Depth With Clarity – You’re already thinking deeply—our work helps you make sense of it all without getting lost in the weeds.
✔ Serious Work, But Not Too Serious – Because if you’re going to spend time unpacking your inner world, it should feel alive—not like you’re in class. Playfulness isn’t optional—it’s the way we get down there.

✔ Forward Movement – This isn’t about endless processing. It’s about alignment, action, and a way forward that actually fits who you are.
✔ Yes, It’s Intense. But Also? There’s Lots of Laughter. – Because self-awareness can be funny. And because therapy doesn’t have to feel like sitting in a dimly lit room, unpacking your entire existence without cracking a smile.
✔ Creative & Playful – Some insights don’t come from just talking about them—they come from experiencing them. I bring in visualization, metaphor, and interactive ways to explore your inner world so that growth doesn’t just stay in your head—it becomes something you can see, feel, and step into.
How I Work
Therapy should work the way your mind does— layered, insightful, and able to make movement with several tabs open.

✔ We map out your mind. The perfectionist, the drill sergeant, the people-pleaser—every part of you has a job. We make sense of them, not just talk about them.

✔ We stop fighting emotions and start working with them. Emotions aren’t problems to fix—they’re messages. Once we decode them, they stop feeling so overwhelming.

✔ We expand your mental space. No more shrinking yourself or trying to “be less.” We make enough room for all of you.

I Work Best With Over Thinkers, Creatives, and
High-Functioning Processors Who Are Navigating:

Tools I Use
I’m a systems thinker, just like you. I’m always on the lookout for the next, more effective way to make sense of things—something deeper, more useful, more alive. These are the systems I’m currently using, not in a rigid way, but in a way that pulls out exactly what’s most helpful.

✔ Internal Family Systems (IFS) – Understanding your inner world and the parts that drive you.
✔ Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) – Moving past overthinking and into aligned action.
✔ Depth Psychology – Uncovering unconscious patterns without getting stuck in them.
✔ Somatic Awareness – Using the body’s cues when thinking alone isn’t enough.
✔ Existential Therapy – Navigating identity shifts and meaning with clarity.
✔ Narrative & Solution-Focused Therapy – Shifting inner stories and finding real direction.

I keep evolving, so this list is always changing. Our tools are only as useful as they are relevant—to who we are now and the world we’re navigating.
The work isn’t about fixed methods, but about finding what actually moves us forward.
You Don’t Need to Be Less of Who You Are.

👉The way you think, feel, and process isn’t the problem. You don’t need to be “less sensitive” or “less analytical.” You don’t need to stop caring, stop questioning, or stop wanting more out of life.

👉You need a way to navigate it all that doesn’t leave you feeling burnt out, stuck, or disconnected.
That’s what therapy with me is about.
Why Talks Over Tea

I grew up drinking tea. It wasn’t just a drink—it was a ritual. Tea meant conversation. It was how people processed, how they connected, how they made sense of things. No matter what was happening, tea was the backdrop—whether it was family, friends, or unexpected deep talks that stretched long into the night.

When I was just starting my practice, I wanted to run a group for Russian teenagers—kids caught between Soviet-parent guilt, religious pressure, and acculturation. I knew they’d connect with tea, too. But I also knew their parents wouldn’t approve if I called it “therapy.” So I thought—fine. I’ll call it something harmless. “Talks Over Tea.” That way, I could get them in the room. Then we’d talk about the real stuff.
I never ran that group. But the name stuck. My husband overheard it and said, “That should be your business name.” And he was right.

Because that’s still exactly how I work—deep, real conversations that get to the heart of things. The kind that shift something inside you. The kind where, yeah, sometimes the tea goes cold.

My Team
Care Coordinator- Ally Raye
Ally finds it incredibly rewarding when she is able to connect those looking to improve their lives with those who can help them do so.
Her goal is to provide a warm welcome to anyone starting (or continuing) their work towards a more fulfilling daily life.
Finding the right fit in a therapist can be an overwhelming (understatement) process; it's helpful to know the person on the line (like Ally!) is working alongside you to help you get there.
