Overthinking + Anxiety Therapy
with Tanya Kincaid, LMHC
For deep thinkers who understand their patterns and still feel stuck in them.
I’ve spent 12+ years working with deep thinkers, overanalyzers, and people whose minds don’t turn off.
I tend to see patterns quickly– how your mind organizes, where it gets stuck, and what’s driving it.
Therapy for people who understand themselves… but still feel stuck.
Your mind doesn't turn off. You think a lot, reflect a lot, and already have some awareness of your patterns. But you can't always see the full map, or how to actually shift what's happening.
You're functional on the outside. But internally, it's loud, fast, and exhausting.
This often shows up as:
Trouble sleeping
Inability to relax
Constant mental replay
Overthinking in relationships
Emotional exhaustion
Feeling "always on"
This isn't random. There's a logic to how your mind organizes: once you can see it, you can work with it.
How Therapy With Me Works
We don't treat your mind like a single voice. There are different parts of you, trying to manage, protect, and stay ahead:
A part that overthinks — always trying to figure it out
A part that tries to prevent mistakes — your inner critic
A part that wants to shut it all down — ready to disappear for a while
This isn't passive therapy. I'm actively tracking what's happening in real time: how your system organizes, where it tightens, and what takes over.
We go to what's underneath. The part of you actually carrying the feeling, and stay with it long enough for something to shift.
You might notice the feeling change. Your body soften. The pattern lose its grip.
That's the moment change happens. Not just understanding, but experiencing something different in real time. Then we integrate that shift so it holds outside of session.

Modalities I Use
Therapy with me is active and engaged. I interrupt patterns in real time so you can see what's actually happening — not just talk about it later.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): Helps you understand your different inner "parts" and reduce internal conflict so your mind feels less chaotic.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Helps you stay aligned with your values even when thoughts are loud or uncomfortable.
Depth Psychology: Explores the deeper emotional patterns driving overthinking.
Somatic Therapy: Helps regulate the nervous system so your body is no longer stuck in alert mode.
Find Your Aha Moment
Clients tell me they finally see the whole map of their behaviors, and where those patterns come from.
After working with me, clients report:
Mental quiet
Better sleep
Easier relaxation
Less shame about thoughts
Stronger emotional clarity
Ability to unplug
More joy in daily life
“You don't lose your depth. You learn how to stop it from drowning you.”
About Tanya Kincaid, LMHC
I've spent 12+ years working with deep thinkers and overanalyzers who feel stuck in patterns they can see but can’t shift.
I'm trained in Internal Family Systems, ACT, somatic and depth-oriented, trauma-informed approaches. I work in a way that's active, direct, and highly engaged, tracking patterns in real time so you can see the bigger map behind what's kept you stuck.
Clients often tell me they're surprised by how quickly we connect the dots and make sense of challenges that have felt stuck for years. One of my favorite parts of this work is watching something that has felt confusing for years suddenly make sense.

Your mind doesn’t have to run the show forever.
You don’t have to live in overdrive. There’s more to you than what your mind has been carrying.
